Back when I was a kid there was a website named Pojo that did card of the day articles every day for all the different CCGs I was into at the time. To help start filling out these forums, I thought I'd start doing a short card-of-the-day with a different IACP card featured each day.
Introduced and approved by the community in Season 6, Bib Fortuna has been a game changer for the Mercenary faction in terms of how Scum lists are built and the support options available in list-building. No longer must every Scum list bring Temporary Alliance and the Rebel Care Package to be competitive. Bib Fortuna expressly forbids Rebels in his presence, but offers handsome rewards in return, if he is also payed properly.
Bib has a pretty standard ability for a 3 point figure to Focus another friendly figure as an action, however for an additional kickback of spending 1 VP, he can focus an additional figure from the same action.
Probably his most important ability is allowing any attacker in his army to spend a Command card while attacking to add +1 damage to the attack results, allowing expensive unique figures in a Mercenary army to kill-confirm when they need to on their attacks, and also providing a way for Scum players to convert their dead command cards into extra damage. This makes it a lot less risky to include those unique figure command cards or more situational command cards in a list when you know you'll be able to turn them into another copy of Positioning Advantage if you can't resolve them for their normal effect.
The introduction of Bib to IACP has allowed Scum lists to do something never thought possible before, which is run pure Scum lists successfully without Temping in Rebel figures like C-3PO, Gideon, R2-D2 or Hera.
Let me know what you think about Bib and about pure Scum support options in general.
